It was said that it is not so much important as to what goes into your mouth but what comes out of it, which is a maker of your character.  A very good word historically used as a negative connotation is Joneses meaning basically neighbor.  It is a saying to “keep up with the Joneses.”  Suggesting that you be in competition with your next door neighbor, sort of like they by a fence and you buy a more expensive fence, they buy a car and you buy a better car.

 

But in actuality the term Joneses is a friendly and non competitive term.  I call on the Hip Hop community to replace the terms “Nigger” and “bitch” with “Joneses.”  I call on them to say in there songs “be my Joneses.”  Because like Rev. AL Sharpton said, you are what you say you are.

 

Let us bring back a community to raise a child mentality and be truly neighbors and not allow ourselves to just simply be victims on the system.  A change in mentality is in our grasp, we can determine our destiny, by changing how we speak and therefore changing how we think.

 

It is like the new Mafia is a non profit organization for the betterment of our communities and not a self destructives movement of surviving by any means, because we are packed in the projects like sardines.  We have to address our circumstances and the situations we are facing such as the expansion of prisons, wars around the world and the AIDS pandemic; single parenthood, illiteracy and the symbolically castrated Blackman?

 

As simple as it may seem, a major step in the right direction as a new greeting of camaraderie (Friendship) is to stop calling your brothers or sisters Niggers and bitches and say “that is my Joneses.”  I call on major Hip Hop community to introduce this concept into their culture.  Personally I really like some Hip Hop and Rap music, but I am embarrassed by it; I think the term Joneses will sell more records and allow the music to reach more homes.  At least consider it. And most importantly it would create a safer community and brotherly and sisterly love among our youth.

Janet Jackson’s number ones greatest hits album a 2 CD set is to be released on November 17^th, 2009.  It will be released on Hip-O Records a part of Universal Group, founded by Doug Morris in 1996.  Actually I have all of Janet’s albums, which I am aware of.  The funny thing is if you ever heard her best songs successively it is a great experience.  There are supposed to be a few new songs on the two CD set.

 

However I doubt if everyone has all of Janet’s albums and this is a chance to get up on her best songs, in a small package.  As Hip-O Records are known for putting out stuff hard to get a hold of and often puts out limited editions, being that is their Modus operandi (Protocol).  I mean the etiquette for dealing this type of repertoire is that the demand exceeds supply. 

 

There are presales taking place now, but there will probably be a limited amount of CD’s available at the local record stores and via the Internet on the day of the release.  I do not know I guess the die hard Janet fans have most of her stuff and will be in it for the new releases.  But for those who really do not know what all the hype is about Janet, people who want to know what the 80’s and 90’s was all about and want to enjoy a beautiful musical variety do not blow the opportunity of getting a copy of these CD’s, I guarantee you it will become a part of your rotation.  Janet is an amazing artist and I think she has another run.

 

Now on the other hand I have to say I was disappointed with the decision to go digital download for sale with “Make Me.”  It was billed as a gift and should have been a free download; however it will very likely be on the new greatest hits album.  But really I thought it was a gift as in something giving away.

The loss of Michael Jackson was a tragic ending and unexpected.  Still it is not clear what happened to the man and to the best of my knowledge no arrests have been made yet.  I am still baffled but I am sure Janet knows more than I do on the subject.  But the breakup with Jermaine Dupri come on get real I mean this has to be great news to her.  I mean all he did was damage her career and image.  However change is hard on everyone and if you get use to someone and lose that the emptiness has to be filled.

 

Janet has responded as dignified and diligently as anyone possibly can, I mean she has taken control over her career unlike any period in her career in the past (Black Doll).  I mean what more can you ask of someone, she filmed a movie and is working on an album with the old successful and proven team of Jam and Lewis and is in the process of writing a book.  2010 seems to be a very busy year to come for Janet Jackson.

 

Meanwhile I hear all this poor Janet talk and Jermaine Dupri prowess.  But Jermaine is focused on the now while Janet is building a new future.  With Jermaine it is the same old thing to find someone to exploit on Living the Life, turning his life into an ongoing drama, while Janet is doing things of substance and she will shine after 2009.

 

Finally there is word that Janet got a hold to some copyrighted material by Michael Jackson and Jam and Lewis is producing a duet with Janet and Michael for the upcoming album.  Then there is the Pleasure Principle clothing line, which has been underexposed.  There are the new songwriters being considered and Alicia Keys possibilities as songwriter, the sound designers, the new technologies and the possibilities of bonus SACD tracks.  I just cannot understand how Janet became the sleeper, but we have to wakeup at some point why not now?  Janet still Rocks!

This will be short and sweet, I do not know where Jam and Lewis is with technology these days, but I have a few tips for Janet Jackson, I admit I know more than I can do and I have learned a lot things in the  past few months.  However, I am saddened by the fact that during my most vulnerable moments they tried to stick the dagger in me, I have to wonder if they want me dead or do not take my emotional pain serious,  Anyway:

 

I have everything I need to do my secret project, it will take few months, but I disagree with the no show with AllGood Entertainment, it was a great opportunity to exploit the new material in 2010 and save on music videos expenses, I want it back on, “your word is your bond.”  All I want is one of two things other than what was mentioned, either Janet takes Jermaine Dupri out of her vocabulary completely or look me in the face and tell me different than what I have been saying all along.  Because I know the one thing Janet cannot do is look me in the face and deny me and she knows it.  This can be done anytime at any place, but do not commercialize me I am not a media whore.  This is the one power I did not give Janet, twhich is to deny me face to face.

The world owes me nothing and I owe the world nothing correct?  So why are there rules, when rules require discipline?  So what is really up with Janet, should I expect a surprise, she is hiding again and that is not her character and every time she surfaces it’s with that drunk Jermaine Dupri.  The only person outside the family that sees her on a regular basis is Jimmy Jam who denies Renee’s existence, because she was working with him at the time this would have had to happened on Control.  Now she is working with him again and rumors a flying around.  It just makes me wonder!

 

On the other hand I have become too good natured, I cannot stay a crook for more than a day or two, but I know who I am and this stuff you are talking is to the wind.  Eventually you all will have to come to me and everything will be made known and I might be loved but may also be hated due to my response.  You made your bed and will have to sleep in it.  Is that tough enough?

 

A mildly abrasive Sun-Saturn aspect on your birthday will encourage you to toughen up and realize that the world does not owe you a living. Once you accept that fact your latent drive and determination will come to the fore – and success will follow.

I have a friend who rewrote one of my songs; Oral thinks he wrote a hit.  I am happy he is back into his music thing we go back many years and shared similar dreams in music.  But I told him I want him to perform some of my words to the music but rearrange the lyrics that I may not even recognized the song anymore.  He said I put more thought process in my screenplays than I do on my vocal arrangements.  This true, but only because many of those songs were written for Janet and others and I expected them to do what he did but my way.  I expected Janet to take my music using her musicians and rework some of the sounds and rearranged the lyrics, because my songs in many cases have meaning, but admittedly in some case I merely vented, but still with meaning to the storyline.  That is the role I wanted to play in Janet’s project. 

 

Now I have to make Oral his own independent musical compositions, I think if Janet listens to the stuff if she did not already, she has some slamming beats, not all but many of them can be worked with and on.  I am open to all the things below in red, but in all honesty I am in between a lot of unfinished projects and others need to step up, names need not be mentioned again!

 

Maybe I might be able to get something done this weekend and maybe not, I overheated this weekend as I described yesterday.  And was reluctant to run the studio too long in the heat or make any major screen changing decision in my script, but after talking it over with a few people, I came up with a few good ideas to unravel the dramas and make things happen.  It can go several directions, I just have to take the potential viewers into consideration to not offend people by writing the wrong people off for the wrong reasons, but we all know a couple of people might have to be written off by the end of the show in this type of drama that it developed into.

 

Do not ask me because I do not understand or know how long it is going to last, but my apartment cooled off last night, my AC is not blowing cold air but it is not blowing hot air either, I do not understand this crazy machine, but as a result as you can see I caught up on my sleep. 

 

Others may doubt you and say you are expecting too much in these challenging times but the word doubt does not exist in your vocabulary. Set your sights high, roll up your sleeves and starts making your dreams come true. Challenging times mean more opportunities.

The next few days could be a lot of fun, especially if you are involved in the kind of relationship that can best be described as “passionate. And if you are not involved in such a relationship chances are you will be very soon. Your world is going to rock.

I believe that Janet and her production team is out of touch with world affairs, to even consider recording this mess tells me she needs serious help in song selection. “Love Sex Magic”  Had she would have recorded this mess it would have all but ended her career as a serious artist.  It is totally commercial and makes no real statement.

 

I mean the world is coming to an end right before us, like the word Obama is worth 200,000 CD sales, I mean at 43 years of age which she will be soon, she has to sing about something of real substance, like the economic crisis, the war in the middle east, the AIDS Epidemic to the first black president, to have even considered this mess is a very bad sign she is on the wrong path and is headed for a disaster.

 

Like I told some fool talking about Janet has no record deal none the less a release date, “How much does it cost to burn a CD today, how much thinking does it require to distribute music, who is Prince signed to and how many independent labels are in business today?”  The bottom line is that “The Underground Distribution Network,” can become reality.

If they cared about the independent labels they would have hired the artist in them.

 

You have to look at how China operates: the Recording Industry Underground Tax then you will understand that the today’s American black market piracy operations can realistically be tomorrow’s independent music distributors.

 

My message of the day is to escape the grips of the iron fist the RIAA and sing for social change.  During one of our disputes Janet told me she is only trying to help the world through her music, not with songs like “Love Sex Magic,” did you see that video, totally without taste?  If Janet wants to really be a service to the world sing for social change and not money and the money will follow because her foundation will be relevant to the listeners; it is time to stop being simply commercial.  It is not the music that is a sign of maturity in career and life, but what a person sings about that separates commercial music from social leaders, be a leader Janet.

 

As for me everyone wants to give me credit, I need cash money and it would be nice to get my second crown cemented already.  It is the little things in my life that are disturbing.

 

With genius planet Uranus strong on your birthday you won’t find it hard to come up with new ideas and new proposals. You may find it hard to persuade people that you have the answer but you are not lacking in communication skills either. It’s just another challenge.

If you need assistance you must let friends and family and work colleagues know about it. You may think it is heroic keeping your pain to yourself but it isn’t, it’s silly. You have helped so many people in the past – now let them help you.

Janet Jackson’s next album to be released has been push back from the summer of 2009 to spring of 2010, to prevent her from doing another rush job. The first single from the album was going to be “Love Sex Magic” but Janet did not want the track, because she felt everything was too rushed and is considering going in a new direction, so Ciara got the track and released it.

 

From the sounds of things Janet has been there and done that and can certainly do better and made a wise decision.  Hopefully with all the world events taking place now by 2010 she will be able to exploit contemporary issues in the tradition of singing for social change.  Janet’s real fans are beyond songs like “Love Sex Magic,” and song is more suitable for the younger Ciara, who is a baby born in 1985 about 20 years younger than Janet who by the way released Control in 1986, when Ciara was just a baby.

 

I say it is alright to move and groove, but be selective about the words you choose to sing to.  I am glad Janet passed on that one, because the next album has to be special!

#5: The Underground Distribution Network:  Put out CD’s using duplicators, setup strategically around the country at major cities.  They will be like the Avon Lady they will get a Business associate ID and sell CD’s to family and neighbors.  There will be an accounting system put in place, but being it is a non profit organization it is not just about record sales but putting out a message, so piracy can work to our advantage in some cases, because we are talking about making music as a social action.

 

#6: Packaging: I just bought 10 packs of 10 quads DVD/CD Cases by TDK they cost $3.99 per 10 packs and hold 4 CD’s per case.  How much will it cost wholesale is the question, but $0.39 per 4 CD compilation case is cheap packaging.  Plus 50 DCD storage inserts go for about$17 after taxes or $34 per 100 which equal $034 per insert retail, with ink from printer we are talking less than $1.00 per packaging with a professional look.

 

#7: The Beauty: I was told that we to copyright protect the products, I said no because it is a non profit organization and sometimes piracy could be good if it gets the word out about a cause.  Now here is a secret I will not write about concerning the grand architecture or great design.  First of all piracy organizations are our best distributors. Why?

 

#8: Accounting system emplacement: Depending on the artist and their demand, we predetermine how many burning licenses we authorize.  An example is we say Janet Jackson’s next album will sell 2 Million copies.  We go to the Underground Distribution Network, who are now the piracy organizations and say you can burn 2 million copies of this CD and sell them for $5.00 each and we want say $1.25 per CD, make it $1.00 to keep it simple, they pay 2 million dollars and burn as many as they want up to 2 million but this will not stop them from burning more.  However here is the catch 22, by accepting these contracts in smaller bulks in different areas around the country say 20,000 here and 100,000 there up to 2 million total they become a legitimate operation and have needs for their equipment and now they have to be caught red handed for there equipment to be confiscated.  Furthermore by making these contracts they actually can justify their income by paying taxes on the profits made. Make sense?

There are rumors swirling around now about Janet and Jermaine’s date at the exclusive Waverly Inn Restaurant.  People who sat next to them claimed they just sent and received text messages all night, on their PDA’s.  Just awhile back there was speculation of professional split up as Janet counted her losses and the word is she is working on her new album with Jam and Lewis.  However they share the same publicist in Patty Webster of W&W Public Relations and if they are no longer a couple personal or professional this arrangement may be a conflict of interest.
